The Zimbabwe AIDS Orphans Society was established in Siuntio, Finland, in April 2003 on the initiative of the project founders and coordinators Seppo Ainamo and Oili Wuolle. It continues to act as the more formal tool of the original project launched back in 1992.

The Society's Board meets roughly every two months to plan and monitor activities. We welcome all our supporters and those interested in our work to become members of the Society.

Since September 2002, the tool in Zimbabwe has been the Dzikwa Trust Fund, which was founded to plan, direct and supervise progress made in the education and welfare of our AIDS orphans on the spot in Dzivarasekwa, Harare.

We also run a shelter home for orphans who have lost their own homes. Currently the shelter home provides accommodation for 32 children.
